Kara Marquardt

Before joining Harry Norman, Kara worked as a Senior Accountant and Audit Coordinator for the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia for four years where she managed the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and closing processes and management reporting. While at the Gas Authority, Kara was recognized for excellence in the successful management of four annual external audits.
Prior to working for the Gas Authority, Kara worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte and Touche, LLP for three years where she managed the process of auditing the client’s records and the preparation of their quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements. While at Deloitte, Kara was promoted from Junior Auditor to Senior Auditor in two years and received recognition for client service excellence on multiple occasions.
Kara is originally from Chillicothe, Ohio and attended Indiana Wesleyan University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, and Management. She is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her Master’s of Accounting degree from Kennesaw State University. Kara resides in Canton, Georgia with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, scrapbooking, and traveling.
